In Cebu, the island of Bantayan is renowned for their delicious dried fish. A basic pasalubong (travel gifts in Filipino) often asked from people who went to Cebu, the buwad from Bantayan are made of \first class\ fresh fish instead of unsold items from the wet market. The variety shown here is what they call stickfish. We bought some and they say that the crispy flesh tastes like dried squid. I couldn\t wait to try it!
